The words many (most) Cardiff fans have been waiting to hear. But has it come too late?
"Cardiff City FC can confirm that a decision has been taken to relieve Omer Riza of his duties as First Team Manager."
Aaron Ramsey takes charge for the final three games of the season starting at CCS on Monday v Oxford Utd. Cardiff can still save themselves from relegation but wins are needed.
Ramsey is joined on the bench by Chris Gunter and Joe Ralls. All three men have given a lot of their careers to Cardiff City, so they should know what it means to the fans if they can turn things around.
"Tom Hutton and Matthew Bloxham will join Aaron in the technical area.
We’d like to thank Omer for his passion and effort during his time as Cardiff City manager and wish him the very best for his next steps in the game."
Riza's comments in midweek calling the fans "Clueless" pushed him onto the edge and another defeat last night at Sheffield Utd followed by another wierd interview was the final straw.
