City have moved quickly on transfer deadline today to bring in 22 year old striker Kenneth Zohore.
The Danish U21 international made a move from KV Kortrijk just moments after he signed for Vincent tan's club Belgian club from Odense.
He will wear shirt no. 26 and is with City until the end of the season.
Eyebrows were raised when the sale/loan deal was first brought up but the Football league issued the following statement.
“Cardiff City contacted The Football League last week with regard to a potential loan signing from their sister club in Belgium and sought to clarify whether such a move would meet both the requirements and spirit of their FFP embargo.
“From the information made available to The Football League, so far, we are satisfied that there isn’t any evidence to suggest this transaction is being designed to circumvent the club’s FFP embargo and that it is consistent with how clubs in common ownership generally operate.
“As is normal, the League reserves the right to consider all matters relating to a player’s registration fully, in accordance with our regulations and policies, at the point the relevant documentation is submitted.”
