"The main factor is winning the match - and we are coming to South Wales with a positive outlook," said Williams. "We want all three points.
"I will always have affection for Cardiff City, my local club, and I want to see them do well.
"Tomorrow though, it's down to business and Dave Jones will understand that. We've drawn far too many matches this season and we need to win at Ninian Park.
"After the match I'll be popping down to stay with my mother and catch up with friends and family.
"If, as I hope, Colchester win then maybe I will have upset a few of them who follow Cardiff, but that's football."
