Reports suggest that Marouane Chamakh has had his medical at Cardiff and could be the third new player to be signed by Neil Warnock.
There has been interest from abroad for Chamakh but it's thought he will follow Junior Hoilett and Sol Bamba to CCS.
Another name was thrown into the ring on Monday. Former Man Utd, Sunderland, Fulham and Aston Villa defender Kieran Richardson has been linked as a fouth player to join Warnock, something the new manager didn't deny when asked on Radio Wales last night.
Richardson is another free agent after his contract came to an end at Aston Villa in the summer. A decade ago he picked up eight England caps scoring two goals.
