Whittingham told the South Wales Echo
“I am committed to Cardiff and looking forward to the rest of this season.
“It is flattering to be linked with other clubs because it shows you are doing something right, but I am happy playing for this club.
“Unless Cardiff are looking to get rid of me, then I’m remaining right here.
“I have always said I want to be with Cardiff and help this club into the Premier League. Nothing has changed.”
The former Aston Villa player has dropped a bit deeper this season but is still scoring goals with eight already.
He is set to make his 200th appearance for the club today.
