Whalley's a Wiganer

Gareth Whalley has completed a move to Wigan. The midfielder has not played for City since "Whalleygate". He was one game short of a £50K bounus and was dropped to save money. He has reached an agreement to terminate his contract at Ninian Park. 

Whalley has been on trial with Paul Jewell's side and his signing on Tuesday is the second time he has joined a club Jewell was in charge of.

Whalley's new deal takes him until the end of the season.
