Whalley could be weeks rather than months

Initially it was thought that Gareth Whalley could miss upto 12 months of action but a specialist has on Sunday said that it may not be as bad as was first feared.

City will have a better idea after the scan but it's hoped it will be weeks rather than months.

It is also hoped that the back spasm which caused Daniel Gabbidon to leave the field early will have cleared up by next weeks FA Cup game at Tranmere and also leave him free to continue his Wales career.

Kav also left Oakwell in pain and he could be a non starter next week at Tranmere. For sure Lennie will not risk too many, if any of his first team at Exeter on Tuesday.
