Cardiff have drawn 0 - 0 with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
City should have been out of sight in the open 30 mins. Chances came at a steady pace and only one team looked in it. But as the half came to an end Wednesday missed two great chances.
They took that momentum into the second half and the best chances fell to the home side and Lucas Jaoa who shot wide and headed straight at Neil Etheridge.
Ken Zohore had a perfectly good goal ruled out in the first half. Yanic Wilderschut ran out of steam and it was a quiet debut for Marko Grujic although he did take a yellow card for the team and see a superb shot saved in the first half.
With Wolves losing City gained a point on them, Derby and Bristol drawing on Friday means no change there but the chasing pack, Villa, Middlesbrough, Sheff Utd all won.
Leeds, who are Cardiff's next League opponents, lost 4 - 3 at home to Millwall.
For Wednesday it's another blank in the league. But they seem to be stabilising at the back.
Now City can go into fantasy land and look forward to the FA Cup circus and the visit of Manchester City to the capital next Sunday.
