Over the weekend the press in Wales have stuck their neck out to say that Koumas was on the verge of signing. The Echo claimed agreements had been made.
But WBA Chairrman Jeremy Peace says such suggestions are wide of the mark
"Cardiff have known what offer we would accept for Jason for a year," he told the official WBA website.
"This was made crystal clear when Jason joined them on loan last summer and reconfirmed during talks last month.
"But Cardiff have yet to match our asking price. Unless they do, Jason won't be joining them.
"After all this toing and froing, I also want to make clear we are not interested in loaning Jason back to Cardiff."
The saga continues.
