Tube nightmare as strike looms

Up to 7,500 members of the Rail Maritime and Transport Union and the Transport Salaried Staffs Association will strike from 6.30pm on Sunday evening until 6.30pm the following Wednesday unless a row over a series of safety-related issues is resolved.

Talks are set to continue over the next couple of days to try and resolve the issues. Should they go out then there will be no tube trains as 70,000 or so people spill out of Wembley Stadium.

Cardiff fans already have a troubled journey to London with the Severn Tunnel closed for maintenance work. Those travelling by train have to either go via Gloucester or get busses to Bristol Parkway before continuing by rail.

Please allow plenty of time for your journey and be aware of the problems.
