Thorne gets 2 as reserves win

Peter Thorne marked his return to action with two goals at Huish Park last night. City's other goal came from Anthony Taylor. Thorne twice gave Cardiff the lead with headers. Yeovil twice came back before Taylor fired home the winner as the game entered injury time.

Spencer Prior played for 90 minutes. Thorne for 80. Lennie is quoted as saying

"It's way too early for them to come back, especially Thorney.

"I would say they both need another week and another game before they are in contention for a place in the senior side."

But with a weekend double header against Nottingham Forest and Derby County being played little more that 48 hours apart Lennie may find a place in the squad for either player if needed.

Should they not be involved this weekend then the Bluebirds have a home reserve game against Bristol City next Wednesday.
