The final Championship weekend

Cardiff quite simply need to avoid defeat at Crystal Palace to guarantee a place in the play offs.

Mathematically Middlesbrough could catch City if the Bluebirds draw and Middlesbrough win but it would take a massive victory of over 10 goals for Tony Mowbray's side.

If Boro fail to beat Watford at Vicarage Rd then it doesn't matter what Cardiff do, a play off place for City would be confirmed.

All three relegation places have been confirmed.

So the outstanding issues that need to be resolved are:

Either Southampton or West Ham to get automatic promotion with the unlucky side in the play offs along with Blackpool, Birmingham and either Cardiff or Midlesbrough.
