Well Sam wrote back.
He started
Dear Terry,
I want to stress that I never want the football club back.
I want to move on with my life - living half in America and half in the Lebanon.
The decision has been made to leave the United Kingdom for good. My children (two sons and a daughter) and my grandchildren (five in all) are the most important factors in my life. My family commitment is extremely strong.
I still like Terry (Phillips) even after reading his open letter to me in the South Wales Echo. When somebody likes or loves somebody else you have to give them time and I read his letter carefully.
After reading what Terry wrote I felt sorry for him. What he wrote is untrue. It's all wrong.
The full letter published in the Echo can be found HERE.
The letter, dictated to a City fan and then handed to the Echo, forced THIS response from Terry Phillips.
Finally the Western Mail weighed in with quotes from Chairman Peter Ridsdale on the matter.
"I don't know what to make of it," said Ridsdale.
"But if you take it at face value then for me it reads like a cry for help from a man desperate to be loved again.
"Here is a man who in my view has lost the will of the Cardiff City supporters and is trying to get back in favour. I think it is absurd really.
"To me it does not say anything and does not answer any of the questions important to the club and to its supporters."
That story from Steve Tucker can be found HERE.
Anyone else get the feeling that you just want to bang their heads together? (figuratively speaking). It's a farce that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of the honest fan who's contributing to the funds of these already wealthy people and their lawyers.
