Sheffield Wednesday were taken over last week by Thai businessman Dejphon Chansiri, who bought 100 per cent of the club's shares from Mandaric's company UKFI Limited for a reported £30million.
A club statement read: "This Saturday's home game with Cardiff will be the first in S6 since news broke of the takeover agreement between Milan Mandaric and Dejphon Chansiri.
"Wednesdayites have taken to social media to mark the Championship clash as a 'Thank You Milan Day' and the club can confirm the chairman will be addressing supporters on the pitch prior to kick-off.
"Consequently, the Owls are asking fans to ensure they are seated by 2.45pm in order to show their support to Milan."
The new owner sanctioned four deadline day signings for Wednesday will all of them, Sergiu Bus, Marnick Vermijl and Melo Silva, plus the return on loan of Lewis McGugan, in contention to play today.
