Tesco's linked with move to New Stadium site

CARDIFF City have agreed a deal with a major supermarket chain that will give their new 30,000-seater stadium the go-ahead.

We understand Tesco are the supermarket chain who have agreed to come on board, although as yet it is only a verbal agreement with paperwork still being worked on. Rivals Asda and Sainsbury's are still showing interest.

We can reveal that former Wales rugby captain Mike Hall and ex-City director Paul Guy have played key roles in landing the most important deal in the club's history. And City will meet Cardiff County Council tomorrow to reveal they can start work on site in 2006.
