Fowler has been offered a package at Cardiff City of around £8,000 a week but clauses have been added that will see bonuses said to be between £800,000 and £1m paid if the club gets automatic promotion.
Sydney are considering making Robbie their "marquee" player. The one man who does not have his salary capped like the rest of the squad.
The Daily Mail say today that Robbie has asked for 48 hours to make his mind up. Speaking in Australia Fowler said
"I spoke to George (Perry, CEO of Sydney FC) last week and obviously I'm very interested, which is why I'm over here.
"But as you probably know I've got a young family, so basically I'm over here to see what it's like and see if it's good for them.
"Obviously I'm over here to see how it is, then I'll go and report back and see how they feel.
"But if I'm happy, they're happy and vice versa. So we'll see how it goes."
Another bid for the player has come in from Port Vale. They know they can't compete on the money side and hope he would come to Vale Park to play for the pleasure of it. "We've asked the question and if the answer's no, it's no." said vale Chairman Bill Bratt.
Cardiff may not have quite the same worldwide appeal as Sydney but we both have a waterfront, both cities have opera houses, ok they've got a better bridge but it do they have Brains beer and Clark's pies?
