A START on Cardiff City's new stadium scheme may be delayed until the new year as plans to attract a mystery retailer to the Leckwith development have been revealed.
But club chief executive David Temme today sought to reassure Bluebirds fans that it would not affect the planned opening date of August 2006 for the 30,000-seater stadium.
The latest hiccup has been caused by a new planning application which is being submitted to Cardiff council covering the retail element of the £100m development.
That will not be ready in time for consideration by councillors at the September meeting of the planning committee.
