The club are installing more seats in the corner of the Grandstand and Canton Stand and the forward plans is to have a 33,000 capacity next summer.
That will involve major structural work and another tier above the Ninian Stand but for now all pockets of space are being used up.
The last home game with Everton saw a crowd of 27,344. Sunday should see that record beaten with a frigure close to 28,000.
