City bring 2015 to a close with a home game against Nottingham Forest. City are unbeaten in the last seven games at CCS and need to stop the rot after back to back away defeats at Birmingham and MK Dons.
The team have slipped down to 10th in the table but a win tonight would see a leap of at least two places and get the side within one point of 6th place.
Russell Slade, speaking ahead of the game, said
“We said in the changing room after the MK Dons game that we’ve only got to wait a few days to respond.
“Forest is another important game for us. We put a lot of importance in the games running to the end of the year and there are three more points up for grabs before we go into January. Three more important points for us. Huge in fact.
“We need to get that four point gap back and get it back quickly. We need to address that very quickly at this stage of the season.
“It’s a critical time, I’m not hiding under a rock. This time of year it’s important to be right in there and we do not want to be slipping away from things. Forest is very much the next step to us doing that."
