"I will take everything in and decide what it means and where my next step is," said Sinclair.
"I've been a professional player for 19 years and have to be careful that I don't take liberties with my body.
"I have already been warned once about the implications on my knees further down the road from a friend who is a doctor. I have to think whether my body can stand the every day intensity of training at this level.
"I would miss it if I just gave it up, so there is much thinking to be done on holiday.
Sinclair made 16 starts for City and capped the season with a late subs appearance at Wembley in the FA Cup Final. He leaves with some great memories from his time in South Wales.
"But whatever I do, playing for Cardiff at Wembley and the colleagues I have met down here have given me memories I will never forget.
"I have had a fantastic time in South Wales.
"The people here inside and outside the club have made the experience one I will never forget. It's been so pleasurable.
"With three or four new players next season, I'm sure it will be an eventful year for Cardiff and I wish them the best."
