The clubs official website is reporting that Sam Hammam will announce the new shirt sponsor later this week. The site claims that four companies are in the running to be on City's shirt but they are not named. The Echo today says that the choice is between Specsavers, Vodka Kick and last years sponsors Ken Thorne. There is no mention of a 4th name in the Echo.
Yesterdays tabloids claimed that it was going to be Ken Thorne again on the shirts as other major sponsors were put off supporting the club after the "Hooligans" documentary. We will find out later this week.
The club say that replica shirts will be on sale on August 17th. Thats the first home Saturday game in the new season. City are away at Oldham on Aug 10th, at home to Port Vale on Aug 13th before playing Northampton at Ninian Park on Aug 17th. Shirts can be pre ordered by calling the club shop on 029 2066 6699.
The first chance to see the players in the new kits will come in the home friendlies. The new blue home kit will be on display when City entertain Wolves on Wednesday July 31st and the new away kit will be worn when City play at home on Saturday August 3rd against Bolton W.
