The Sun have published an article saying that Sheffield Wednesday are considering a season long loan approach for Kenwyne Jones.
The striker has just returned from playing in The Gold Cup for Trinidard and Tobago and is set to feature for City at Bournemouth tomorrow.
He has also been linked with MLS side Columbus Crew. Wednesday, under new owners, had Jones at Hillsbrough 10 years ago when he had a loan spell there from Southampton.
Speaking this week, Bluebirds boss Slade had said: “Kenwyne will be assessed by our fitness and conditioning staff, but he played four full matches for Trinidad and Tobago in the Gold Cup and we expect Kenwyne to be ready.
“He will train with the main group on Thursday and be involved at Bournemouth.”
Jones ended last season at Bournemouth with a number of appearances off the bench as the Cherries won promotion to the Premier League.
