City's arch rival Scott Murray is set to face the Bluebirds again next season as he looks to complete a £650,000 move to Reading from Bristol City. Aston Villa will earn themselves £125,000 from the deal after a clause was put in his contract when he left Villa for Bristol City in 1997.
Murray has been a potential target for City.
Reading are closing in on three new signings, Murray being the first, Irish international David Connolly from Reading is number 2, Reading have agreed a deal with the administrators of Wimbledon for the player that scored 24 goals last season.
They are also looking to sign Richie Partridge from Liverpool and are looking to agree a £350,000 fee. I wonder though if the signing of Murray goes ahead whether they will still go for Partridge?
Whatever happened to Luke Chadwick? I'm assuming his spell on loan will not continue into next season.
