"I'm not talking about the quality of the stadium itself, but the setting. Wembley is in a part of London where you go to watch a game and then head straight home. Here in Cardiff people love to spend two or three days. The stadium is in the centre of a vibrant city where the people are happy and there are lively places to go.
"It's an exciting, well planned city with enough hotels and transport. It's insane to even think of spending a penny on Wembley. This country already has an alternative to Wembley - a great stadium-in a fantastic city. Why not come and buy the Millennium Stadium? The location is perfect and people love to visit."
Looking back and comparing his 1988 FA Cup winning Wimbledon with his current club Sam said
"In 1988 little Wimbledon, in only their eighth year as a Football League club, took on a Liverpool team who were winning everything. There was zero pressure, no expectation, for us. We went out to enjoy the occasion and probably lose. It was fantastic that we won.
"This time, with Cardiff City, it's totally different. We are disappointed that we did not go up automatically. If we make it through the play-offs it will be that much more dramatic."
