Speaking to the Western Mail last night Lennie said
"The deal is not done and dusted because it stalled at the last minute. We're hopeful of a favourable out-come. We still hope to bring the player to Cardiff."
Lennie has spoken further today on the deal which last night appeared to have fallen through after a problem arose over Riise's former club Aalesund demanding a fee for the out of contract player.
Lennie is waiting for a fax from the Norweigian FA to say whether he needs to pay for the young midfielder. Lennie wants him for free, if a fee is demanded then the transfer would appear to be off.
