Striker Laurent caught the eye with a hat trick. Gavin Rae chipped in with the other two goals.
"I enjoyed playing and I would love to stay with Cardiff City longer," said former Southend United player Laurent. "It felt good to score a hat-trick in a trial match and the manager (Dave Jones) said I am a good player."
The match was arranged so Jones could see players in match action especially defender Riggott. The former has been training with the club for a number of weeks now.
Now, one week on neither players has signed or as far as we know been released either. The international break has left things very quiet domestically. We should hear some more this week as the City staff return to work to prepare for the visit of Hull City on Saturday.
