PETER Ridsdale today came out fighting Cardiff City's corner in the wake of vice-chairman Michael Isaac's threat to quit the board.

The former Leeds United chief, now Sam Hammam's right-hand man at Ninian Park, spoke exclusively to the Echo following millionaire Isaac's revelation that he is on the verge of departing because of a lack of consultation over key decisions.

In a frank interview today, Ridsdale claimed:

Isaac has not put money into Cardiff City since August 2004

He HAS been, and will continue to be, consulted on key issues such as the appointment of new manager Dave Jones.

His position as vice-chairman will now be reviewed by the rest of the Ninian Park board after the Echo's story yesterday caught them all by surprise.
