As for players who will stay. Neil Alexander is in fine form and must surely be staying. Glenn Loovens has signed from Feyenoord and Jones is trying to tie up a permanent deal with Jason Koumas. Steve Thompson is under contract

'I hope that I have done enough to earn another year, I've played 29/30 games for Cardiff now, but staying on is not a discussion I can make,' Cox told the Echo.
'I will know in the next day or so whether I'm wanted here, if not I have got to get myself another club during the summer
'I'd love another season here, I've been here a year and well settled. When I came here the players were under a bit of pressure because everybody thought we would get relegated.
'And although it has been a disappointing end to the season we all stuck together even though at times the squad was a bit bare.'
