Relaxed Hammers ready for Bluebirds challenge

allardyceAfter a goalless draw last Saturday Sam Allardyce took his squad to the Middle East for some rest and relaxation.

“A big sandstorm blew up as soon as we arrived and that restricted our movements until it blew itself out,” said Allardyce.

“Once that blew away, the temperature was just about perfect, 26 degrees and plenty of sun. It was perfect with training and then golf for some, a bit of tennis or swimming for others, beach volleyball for a few more.

“Our players tried out the Talise Spa, one of the best in the world, where the players could rejuvenate and regenerate aching muscles before the final and crucial 14 matches of the season.

Hopefully West Ham will be hit by a Blue storm today as Cardiff look to start March with a win that will keep them in promotion contention.

Saturday's results mean Cardiff have dropped to 8th place, the first time out of the play off places for several months. A win today would see City move up to at least 5th place.

Allardyce managed to play some mind games by saying

“Cardiff did the Championship proud against Liverpool, but losing on penalties is tough and it will be a difficult disappointment to overcome.

“We will find out how successful they are at doing that tomorrow.”

Hopefully Sam we will be very successful and send you back down the M4 with nothing to show for your trip to South Wales.
