"We have a good away record and our side were bigger than Cardiff's yet they scored two goals from headers.
"I only hope they don't play as well as that when they visit our place.
"Andy was told to leave the dug-out by the referee after Cardiff scored their third goal, but he refused to go until he was told that he would be able to take his place on the field as a substitute later in the game.
"As soon as he came on the side perked up a bit and with his organisation we were able to hold Cardiff at bay for most of the second half."
Lennie Lawrence (overlooking the 0 - 0 at Rotherham)
"The most satisfying thing for me was the clean sheet. It's the first one we've had this season so you've got to be pleased.
"We've attacked brilliantly but sometimes they won't go in and so it's down to our ability to keep a clean sheet. Achieving that for the first time is important.
"Obviously I'm delighted to score five goals and play as well as we did but at half-time I had to hammer home to them not to concede a goal."
Lennie added about his star striker
"I watched him struggle and get six touches for Wales in midweek and I thought: 'What is he going do for me on the Saturday? Will he be able to work hard for me and give me 90 minutes?'
"And with that performance he showed me it doesn't affect him."
Jason Brown (Gillingham keeper) on Robert Earnshaw
"He caused us one too many problems. He'll cause defences problems in the Premiership, First Division and at international level because he is a world-class player."
