Because players are playing well for you, the likes of Joe and Chris, then speculation will come," said Dave Jones.
"Chris has had two good games at international level and two good games for us.
"Does that constitute teams looking at him again? I would hope so because that means the kid is doing really well for us."
City like most clubs will always be a selling club. Every player has his price.
"If the price is right for the football club, I'm sure the board will take a decision as to whether it is the right one to let people go," Jones added.
"But at the moment we're trying to build here and keep all our best talent, but if the price is right then you let them go because it can strengthen your club in other areas."
Aaron Ramsey is another youngster attracting interest. The Chairman though says he will not sell cheap.
"We will most certainly not sell any of our players on the cheap," said Peter Ridsdale.
"I can give you two examples of that. Just before we sold Michael Chopra, another club offered us £1.5m for him.
"I immediately said no. However, when Sunderland offered £5m, I considered that to be a knockout blow and good business.
"As you know, we've also turned down two big-money bids for Aaron Ramsey, which came in even though he has barely played any league football.
"We're talking about seven-figure offers, remember, but the money on the table was not good enough."
Ledley and Gunter will play for City at Hull tomorrow.
