The Bluebirds suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Plymouth Argyle on Boxing Day and Jones will try and mix up his line-up as a result.
"I was going to make changes anyway and there will be some now," Jones told the club's official website.
"There aren't any injuries or knocks, just bruised egos and pride for one or two of my players who aren't as good as they think they are."
Defender Miguel Comminges and midfielder Stephen McPhail remain the only absentees for the Bluebirds, while defender Gabor Gyepes will be pushing for a start at London Road after being named on the bench against Argyle.
Peterborough defender Craig Morgan is suspended for the clash.
Wales international Morgan came on as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat at West Brom on Boxing Day and collected his fifth booking of the season so will serve a one-game ban.
Fellow defender Gabriel Zakuani remains manager Mark Cooper's only injury concern ahead of the game.
Zakuani has been playing through a persistent groin problem in recent weeks and only managed 75 minutes at the Hawthorns. Should the former Fulham man not be passed fit to face the Bluebirds then Charlie Lee or Tommy Rowe could come in at full-back.
Posh returned to the bottom of the Coca-Cola Championship on Boxing Day after Plymouth surprisingly beat Cardiff, so Cooper's side need a win to keep in touch.
