Argyle released this official statement: "There has been speculation about the fact that Peter Ridsdale has been spending some time meeting with executives from Plymouth Argyle Football Club.
"Peter has extensive experience in football and is just one of a number of parties that we have undertaken exploratory discussions with regard to potential future investment. If and when there is anything further to add, we will do so at the appropriate time."
Last night, Ridsdale told the BBC: "I must point out that I am not the only person in discussion with the Argyle board. There are plenty of other interested parties, and I am certainly not in a position to announce anything at the moment as negotiations are ongoing. I don't know how long it will be before an announcement will be made - if it is going to involve myself."
Desperate
Plymouth Argyle are in a terrible mess and face a winding up order on December 8th. I would suggest they think very carefully about who they appoint to help them and check out exactly what they can bring to the table.
