It's suggested that Lennie will look to trim his squad over over 30 senior players to a hardcore of 22 - 24 players with several younger players taking the overall sqaud upto around 30 players.
Suggested names to come in include John Robinson as previously reported. Cardiff are also said to have watched Dave Kitson at Cambridge and Wimbledon players Nigel Reo-Corker, Jobi McAnuff, Damien Francis and David Connolloy. John Oster's name is still linked.
As for players to leave then there are several out of contract. Mark Walton, Martyn Giles, Gethin Jones, Leo FW, Andy Legg, Tony Wallis, Simon Heall and Andy Jordon are the players who's deals have run out. There is no news yet on whether any will be offered a new contract. Gethin Jones is set to have a trial with Bobby Gould at Cheltenham.
Lennie also made three short term signings in the second half of the season. Lee Fowler is on loan until the end of the season, he has only played one competitive match, he went off injured against Newport but is fit again and has played a couple of reserve team games. Gareth Ainsworth was signed initially until the end of the season as was Steve Jenkins.
Ainsworth is certain to be offered a new deal but some transfer websites have already claimed Steve Jenkins is available after being released but there's no confirmation of that.
Of course these matters will become more of an issue after next Sunday. Firstly all attention will be on the play off final and secondly it will depend in which division we are in as to the calibre of players we may or may not be able to attract.
