CARDIFF City has been nominated for an award for the now notorious pre-Christmas season ticket marketing campaign that has rocked fans’ faith in the club.
The offer, which promised fans the title Platinum Ambassador and their money back if the club is promoted, has seen the Bluebirds named among eight clubs up for the Football League’s Best Marketing Campaign gong at this year’s awards.
The offer has shaken fans’ confidence in the club as it was promoted by manager Dave Jones with the support of chairman Peter Ridsdale on the promise that the sales cash would be used to invest in new players.
