"We are in discussions with Robbie and Jimmy about option clauses in their contracts," said Ridsdale.
"Nothing has yet been concluded, therefore we have had to leave their current situation as one of uncertainty.
"But this will unravel over the next few weeks and then we will confirm whether or not one or the other or the two of them are remaining or going.
"It is up to the manager and it is up to the terms. We obviously have targets in the striker positions to bring in from other football clubs and we will have to factor in the needs and abilities of those on our target list with whether or not Robbie and Jimmy fit into the manager's plans.
"I think it is highly unlikely that they will each remain, but at this stage I could not tell you which of the two will be here and which will be the one going ... or maybe that if the two of them will go.
"There might be circumstances, depending on negotiations on the cost of keeping them, where they remain. But at the moment, if I was a betting man, I would think it would be unlikely."
Are Cardiff City looking for new players?
"We don't have any bids on the table with clubs, but we do have enquiries with clubs and agents about players we are interested in," said Ridsdale.
"At this time of year, people have gone off on holiday. The busiest time will be June.
"Not many of us want to start paying new players to go and sit on the beach. You try to pay them from when they come back from their holidays to start pre-season training, which will be right at the end of June."
Aaron Ramsey. Will he be going?
"I don't know what is going to happen, I can't guess what is going to happen," said Ridsdale. "I don't know if Manchester United or anyone else are going to come in for our players.
"But if a bid does come in and it meets our valuation, or the player concerned says they want to go, we will deal with that at the time.
"I have always said we are a Championship club which means every one of our players is for sale. The only question is the price. The ideal scenario is for us to keep our players, but that is not something which is likely.
"There is a gap between what we bring in through the turnstiles in commercial revenue and what we have to pay in wages to have a side which is capable of challenging at the top end of the Championship."
