Speaking about his clubs position, their play off ambitions, and his team selection problems ahead of Cardiff Kinnear told the Luton Official website
"As the fit players come back, we'll get stronger and stronger and we'll be in a better position for the play offs. That's our target. We're not really in the shadow of Wigan and Brstol City and Cardiff. In fact if Bristol City have injuries, they'll find it a problem. The other two will just get the cheque book out.
"We've had to chop and change and haven't had a settled side. It's ages since I've put my best XI out. I don't know what sort of team I can get out for Cardiff. I'm trying to get two loan players in because we've only got three fit defenders in the club. Neilson's got no chance. He's done a hamstring. perrett's still out. Bayliss is still out.
"We're struggling in central positions and we're playing against two good strikers in Earnshaw and Thorne."
The Luton game conjurs up some interesting off pitch reunions. Lennie with the club he managed for 5 years and Joe Kinnear with his old boss, Sam Hammam.
