C:WindowsTempphp22D9.tmpTrollope on meetings with Cardiff bosses

We’ve received a lot of support after Leeds and through the week from the chairman and the board- that support is appreciated. It’s not always the case in the modern game. It has been a difficult few weeks and that’s when we need to show our strength of character.

We know we can’t keep getting beat but we’re confident that by sticking together we can get the wins to get off the bottom of table because it’s a horrible place to be.

He [Dalman] came down after game to offer support for the performance to staff and players. He then came to training ground and offered similar support and spoke to senior players and senior staff to offer support and his thoughts on where we were- that was really appreciated.

We know results haven’t been good enough, so to receive that, it’s a boost for everyone.

Thanks for fans

Sometimes things happen for a reason, we wish it hadn’t happened, but we’re going to show fight and bravery to get out of it - support was great against Leeds - results have not been what we want and nowhere near what fans want or expect.

There’s a huge drive and desire to give travelling fans a performance to be proud of, and more importantly a result to be proud of.

Ben Amos impressing

We’re pleased with him, he made a couple of decent saves against Leeds. He looked comfortable and assured, he kicked it well. He’s got that little bit of experience and we’re pleased to have him with us, he showed his level last week. We don’t put either of the Leeds goals down to him.

Reflection on Leeds decisions

I went to see ref after Leeds, it was a penalty. I’m not disputing it was a penalty.

From our viewpoint, it was needless one, as the ref had gone in the corner before to warn players.

It was a bad decision from our defending.

If they’re going to be that strict on it, you could see a lot of penalties like that this season.

We can turn it around

Yeah we would ( take a scrappy win). It’s about winning, we haven’t got the win we thought we would, we could argue we deserved more. Couple of occasions where we got what we deserved, usually the results follow getting the process right.

There’s still a focus on performance and process but we’re also aware it’s both ends of the pitch, aggression and ruthlessness in the opposition penalty area ,if that not quite happening we have to keep the back door shut.

We’re aware the game is about winning, but things can change very quickly.

Results have dented us, that’s human nature, but there’s still a strong spirit and desire in staff and players that show that we’re strong enough to cope with this, turn it around an bounce back quickly
