Paul Trollope has been promoted to Cardiff City manager. He replaces his old boss Russell Slade who was moved upstairs.
"I'm honoured to get this position, it's a good challenge and one I'm looking forward to getting started with," Trollope said.
"It's a good club with a good fan base and nice facilities and stadium - and it was an absolute no-brainer to do the job.
"Every coach and manager has got their own philosophies, their own way of playing, handling players and preparation.
"I'll bring my own style to that, and anyone who knows me knows that I've got clear ideas of the way things should be on and off the pitch at a football club."
Trollope said he would remain part of the Wales set-up until at least after Euro 2016.
"I'm due to meet up with Wales in preparation for the Euros and that doesn't change," said Trollope.
"I've got full belief that I've got time to prepare properly for pre-season and the new season ahead.
"Maybe 20 years ago it would have been a problem, but with modern technology in the world today I don't see it as any hindrance to the new season.
"After that I think there will be a discussion moving forward with Chris Coleman (Wales manager), the FAW and the club whether it's viable (to stay)."
