One signed, but the speculation continues

As reported earlier Lennie has confirmed he may be interested in Charltons Matthias Svensson. More likely is Gary Doherty from Spurs who could be the defender Lennie is looking for as it seems unlikely Fitz Hall will consider Cardiff City.

City are looking for a striker. Svensson is a target but I'd prefer Shaun Goaters goalscoring record. Lennie says he has not spoken to Goater, he did not mention if Sam had?

There could be further interest in the Wimbledon players that City have been tracking. The Telegraph reported that Cardiff had bid £1.5m to cash strapped Wimbledon for Mickele Leigertwood, Joel McAnuff, Nigel Reo-Coker, Lionel Morgan.
