Rhys Weston, hoping to recover from an ankle injury in time to play again this season, has been talking to the Echo ahead of the end of season run in.
Rhys is hoping for an injury free season to enable him to get a new contract after his expires in 2006.
"I am going into the last year of my contract so it's a vital period for me. I must now try and justify a new contract or if I cannot do that secure a decent move.
"Either way, I need an injury-free season. It's been a very frustrating for me, I just what to play football."
