With Gareth Bale signing for Real Madrid most of the headlines are already written but today is always exciting as last minute transfers are completed.
Last year Cardiff secured Nicky Maynard's signature at the last minute and today we could see late transfer action again.
The star performer on deadline day last year was Peter Odemwingie. The WBA striker thought he had agreed a move to QPR but despite arriving at Loftus Rd no deal had ever been done and Odemwingie was fined £75,000 by Albion for his actions, and he only managed seven more appearances after that. He has not been selected to play for them yet this season.
But today he could be heading to South Wales with permission to sign for Cardiff City.
Cardiff added two new players over the weekend, defenders Maxi Amondarain from Nacional and Kevin Theophile-Catherine from Rennes and if Malky can just strengthen the attack to give more goal threat then we will have a quality of squad we've never seen before at Cardiff City.
