"We're aware of the situation. I like the player but some of the reports about the Cardiff deal suggested a figure approaching one million pounds and that is too high for this Football Club. We've put in a call to their Chairman but he's on holiday at the moment so we'll wait and see how things develop."
Worthington is also looking at Wimbledon's David Connolly. That will upset Reading who have come to an arrangement with the Wimbledon administrators for the Irish striker.
"He's another one we're looking at, we're talking to the administrators at Wimbledon and again it's a case of waiting to see what happens," said Worthington.
If it's a true figure, £1m approximately for Hulse, are we daft to offer such money in todays market that sees plenty of players available for free?
