New striker Iwan Redan signs for City

Redan has previously been on trial with other UK clubs but now a deal has finally been done to secure his move to Cardiff City.

Redan had an incident last week in Holland which is said to have fast tracked his move from Willem II.

It's said he had an altercation with a team mate.

Redan described himself to www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk as

"A strong striker who can hold the ball up and bring players into play."

He continued.

"I have good pace and can score goals, so hopefully I will make the team better. I would say that I am better suited with a smaller player around me with pace."

This season he's scored just twice in 15 games for Willem II but previously hes had seasons of scoring 10 in 7 games (2005 / 06), 6 in 17 (2004 / 05) and 13 in 14 (2003 / 04).

He doesn't appear to have played many games each season but he has scored goals. He is available for Friday's match against Barnsley.

We welcome him to Ninian Park.
