Ronnie Moore planned to have a word with his scouts after missing new City signing Paul Parry. The Rotherham boss was impressed with the 23 year olds debut and wished he'd have known about him before City secured his signature.
"I will be rollicking one or two of my scouts for not knowing about him.
"Parry is a nice little find and he did very well. I've been looking for a left-sided player myself for the last 10 or 12 months."
Lennie was equally impressed with his new player
"It was a terrific debut. I have given debuts to lots of players over the years and that performance was certainly in the top 10."
City skipper Graham Kavanagh also praised the new boy
"That was one of the best debuts I have ever seen. I don't want people to get carried away, but he played extremely well. It's difficult when you consider the level he has come from. But we have certainly got a player to be reckoned."
