"I would have to say that the recent decision to build another stadium in Cardiff of 30,000 seats and potentially 60,000 defies belief.
"I am not aware of any city in the world that could sustain two stadiums of that size."
Sam Hammam has answered back by telling the Echo
"Cardiff is a big enough capital city to have both football and rugby teams playing at the highest possible level.
"It is up to the respective people who are running sport in Wales to make sure they perform to the Welsh public's expectations.
"I feel very comfortable and confident that football will deliver those expectations to the public.
"There are many cities that host two large stadiums within their city boundaries, Glasgow (Rangers/Celtic), Manchester (United/City), Merseyside (Liverpool/Everton), Sheffield (United/Wednesday) and countless clubs in London."
"Football and rugby should never be in competition with each other, especially in a country as small as Wales.
"We have enough problems competing with 89 Football League clubs without fighting amongst our own countrymen over a different sport.
"If Wales do well in any sport, then great, but I will not accept second best, we have every right to be treated as equals."
