The Football League have announced that all matches this weekend will honour the former Man Utd and Northern Ireland international. The Wolves v Southampton match at Molineux on Saturday lunchtime had a minutes applause. I hope Cardiff do the same.
Best's links with Cardiff City are very few indeed. He was a scorer for Fulham when City beat them 2 - 1 at Craven Cottage in 1976 and his only appearance at Ninian Park came in a 3 - 1 defeat for Fulham in 1977. (see below).
