"Mike came onto the club board as part of PMG Associates when the task was to get us to a position where the new stadium project went unconditional.
"That has now been achieved satisfactorily.
"Mike is also a director of PMG, who are the club's biggest secured creditors.
"We have an impending court case involving Langston and if anything went wrong and we lost the case then Mike would be in a position of a conflict of interests.
"We firmly believe we will win the court case, but there is no such thing as a 100 per cent case. We have to be aware of that."

As a supporter who has no idea of the inside working of the City boardroom I'm concerned at the off field developments (as well of course as the debacle on the field).
It's concerning to hear of court cases, lawyers and the like and then to see as well that Sam Hammam is back in the area contacting fans it makes it very uncomfortable.
The words "unholy mess" spring to mind.
