City beat Southern League Merthyr Tydfil in the pre season friendly at Penydarren Park.
A large crowd of around 2,500 watched as City came through with a victory thanks to goals by John Brown, Steve Thompson and Billy Taylor. Craig Steins scored a goal for Merthyr levelling after Brown's opener. Stein gratefully tapping into an empty net after Peter Enckleman's fumble.
