McPhail out for upto eight weeks

The City midfielder was a doubt for Swansea anyway after coming off injured against Nottingham Forest but it turns out he has a torn thigh muscle.

"It's bad news about Stevie and he's a big loss because he's won the fans over again," said boss Dave Jones.

"He was already doubtful for the match at Swansea on Saturday, but a scan has confirmed our worst fears."

He is expected to be out for 6 - 8 weeks.
